Injured Walker on Windy Gyle .
Medical Attention during Evacuation
Whilst providing rescue cover for a charitable walking event today the Team, together with the North of Tyne SRT evacuated a walker who had sustained facial injuries in a fall. Fortuneately, the injury site was accessable by our landrover ambulance, otherwise a long evacuation by a stretcher party would have been necessary. The injured person was transferred by our landrover ambulance to Alwinton where further medical treatment was adminstered and onward transportation to hospital.
