4 June |
The Team was contacted by the Nothumbria Police at about 2030 on Thursday June 4th in connection with a female who had
gone missing earlier that evening. The incident history suggested that she might harm herself in some way. She had last
been seen heading into Carlisle Park in Morpeth, which was subsequently searched by team members but without success.
While this was taking place, investigation by the police revealed that she had been seen getting into a taxi.
Further investigation identified the destination of her taxi journey, and as a result she was detained by the police at
about 2230.

01 July |
Along with North of Tyne, we were contacted by the police at around 2015 regarding a female who had gone missing while
out running, possibly in Jesmond Dene. There was a complicated background to the story.
The pager system was not working (the Vodapage number was permanently engaged), the police had given the two teams a
limited task, and so a telephone callout took place of those members who lived in the immediate area. The paths through the
dene between Castle Farm Road and Armstrong Bridge were searched ... nothing found.
As time went by it appeared increasingly likely that she was not in the area. We stood down around midnight.
