1 4 Jan
A couple became disorientated in Kidland forest and used their mobile phone to contact the police. A helicopter was dispatched who picked them up.
2 6 Jan
Police called the Team to search for a missing person walking their dog in the Simonsides area. The Team was stood down when the missing person was located by the police.

11 Jan
Police asked for assistance in locating a missing person walking their dog in the Chillingham estates. As the Team was arriving the missing person was found by estate staff. The perosn had fallen and was taken to hospital for a medical check up.
4 3 February
A 74 male was lost on the Cheviot plateau. He used his mobile phone to contact the police. The person was located by SAR helicopter on Scald Hill and taken to a safe location.
5 25 March
Penrith and Kirby Lonsdale MR teams asked for the Team's assistance in searching a large area of wild terrain for a 70 year old male walker. After a protracted search nothing was found. At the end of April, the missing person was found dead outside the search area.
6 22 April The Team were placed on standby to locate a group of 7 sea scouts missing in the Ingram Valley. They were found safe and well before a full call out was initiated.
7 27 May
Whilst attending the Northumberland 100 event team members were called to assist a 58 year old who had suffered a heart attack. After unsuccessfully trying to resuscitate the gentleman by Team medics and a doctor, Team members evacuated the body to an awaiting ambulance.
8 6 June
The police asked the Team to locate a missing person believed to have taken a large quantity of anti-depresants and alcohol. The person was located in undergrowth in Chopwell Wood. The person was treated by Team medics and transferred to the care of an ambulance crew.
9 1 July
Whilst overseeing the safety of competitors in the Chevy Chase event one person was treated for heat exhaustion and another errant competitor was located safe and well.
10 & 11 20 August

2335 hours. The Team was asked to assist in the location of an 85 year old gentleman missing from a care home. As the search groups were being briefed, the gentleman was found by the police and taken to hospital for a medical check up.

0000 hours. As the above callout was being completed the police asked the Team to proceed to Haltwhistle to search for a suicidal 46 year old male. The missing person was located at 0245 hours

12 22 August
Request by police to assist in the search of an 85 year old Alzheimer's patient. As the search groups were being briefed, the missing person was located and the Team was stood down.
13 30 August
At 1845 hours, the police asked for the Team's assistance in locating male in the Berwick area. An extensive search plan was executed but the missing person was not found. The Team was stood down at 0335 hours on 31 August.
14 31 August
0800 hours. the Team was asked to return to Berwick in the light of new information regarding the missing person of 30 August. The Team was stood down at 1445 hours when it was found that the missing person was using a mobile phone to send text messages and it was ascertained that the person was in no danger.
15 17 September The Team responded to assist in the location of a missing cyclist in Chopwell Woods. As the Team was arriving the missing person was located.
16 14 October 0245 hours. A missing person in Chopwell Wood phone police to say that he had fallen and injured himself. After a detailed seach by SARDA rescue dogs ( two from Teesdale MRT ) the missing person was found at 0620 hours.
17 15 October
NESRA Callout to the border between Durham, Cumbria and North Yorkshire. A missing person was located by Team members hanging from a tree. Tema members secured the area for the police.
18 17 October
Team was called out to the Simonside Hills to locate a missing male. Search dogs and medics located the missing person and after being checked by the Team medics , the missing peson was led away by police.
19 31 October
The Team acted as back up support to the North of Tyne Team who controlled the search for a missing 80 year old. The missing person was found safe and well at home.
20 7 November Team placed on standby to assist Teasdale MRT. Team stood down at 1515 hours
21 6 December
At 1325 hours, the Team was called out to the Simonside Hills to search for missing campers. After an extensive search by Team members, 3 search dogs and a helicopter nothing was found. The search was called off at 2025 hours. Read more >
22 26 December
Team placed on standby for missing walkers in Thrunton Woods. Team stood down when missing persons were located by other walkers and led to safety.
    The above does not include several occasions when the Team has been called for missing children in urban areas. On arrival the Team has been stood down as the missing children have been found by concerned local people and police. In most of these incidents the NoT Team were also involved
